Renewable energy power producer Scatec has signed power purchase agreements (PPA) for three co-located solar and storage projects with 1.1GWh of energy storage in South Africa.
Philippines’ investor-owned utility AboitizPower and Norwegian renewables group Scatec have signed a EPC agreement with Hitachi Energy for it to build a 20MW/20MWh battery storage system, set to go online in 2024.
Scatec has been awarded Preferred Bidder status for 540MW of solar projects with 225MW / 1,140MWh of battery storage through a government tender in South Africa.
