Alevo, a US energy storage provider which only started shipping its containerised solutions in January, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Flow battery manufacturer ViZn Energy Systems has won a contract to provide a 1MWh zinc-iron flow battery to India’s majority network operator and utility Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL).

A Silicon Valley-headquartered flow battery maker will provide energy storage for telecommunications networks in China, replacing diesel use in a pilot programme ahead of “wide-scale deployment”.
