Engie has signed an ‘energy storage as a service’ contract with technology provider Energy Dome for a long-duration energy storage (LDES) project in Sardinia, Italy.
Energy Dome has signed a contract with Alliant Energy for a 200MWh long-duration energy storage (LDES) project in Wisconsin, which the US utility considers the “first of many.”
Italy-based Energy Dome, the maker of a proprietary CO2-based long-duration energy storage system, has closed the second tranche of its Series B, raising another €15 million bringing the total to €55 million (US$62 million).
