The West African Development Bank (BOAD) has approved a US$24 million loan for a solar and storage project in Senegal with a 15MW/45MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).

Development banks IFC and AfDB have financed co-located projects in Malawi and Eritrea which collectively total 25MW of energy storage.

Ncondezi Energy has secured a land agreement for its 300MW solar PV project in Tete, Mozambique.
