Residential energy storage company sonnen announced Wednesday that is close to completing a new North American Innovation Center which will merge the company’s US manufacturing operations with product research and development.
The sonnen InnovationHub is expected to begin production of sonnenBatterie products in Q2 2017, and will give sonnen the ability to rapidly innovate and produce award-winning sonnenBatterie systems for the US market in one central location in Atlanta, Georgia.
By putting all of these operations under one roof, sonnen hopes to use its manufacturing division to capitalise on new products and speed up production capacity — making energy storage cheaper in the process.

We expect that linking our US manufacturing and R&D teams in one facility will increase the rate of product innovation, and enable us to better adapt to the future needs of the high-growth US residential energy storage market."
