Multinational energy firm RWE has started construction on two battery storage projects totalling 220MW/235MWh in Germany.

Global system integrator Fluence will deploy a 250MW ‘Grid Booster’ battery energy storage system for transmission system operator (TSO) TransnetBW, one of two such projects planned in Germany.

The Ministry of Energy in Lithuania has officially launched a project to deploy 200MW / 200MWh of battery storage in the northern European country.
