Battery storage project will deliver nearly AU$10 million annual electricity system cost savings in Australia’s Northern Territory.

Tesla has been contracted to provide 300MWh of its Megapack BESS for projects in development by Edify Energy in Australia. 

US$219 million of financing has been secured by developer Plus Power for the 185MW / 565MWh Kapolei Energy Storage (KES) project in O’ahu, Hawaii. 

A grid-forming project in South Australia combining power electronics and battery storage to integrate wind and solar at a site near the end of a 120km 33kV transmission line is being replicated worldwide, the Head of Grid Edge Solutions at Hitachi ABB Power Grids has said.
