Technology providers Fluence and Wartsila have been chosen through a competitive solicitation process to supply up to 1,000MW of grid-scale battery energy storage to Australian energy generation and retail company AGL.
Updated 7 January 2020: Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd (CATL) will supply lithium-ion batteries to energy storage system integrator FlexGen for two large-scale energy storage projects totalling 220MWh in Texas.

Energy solutions company Alfen has seen its quarterly revenue climb across all three of its business lines, with its energy storage arm seeing revenues increase by 144% against the first quarter of 2019.
Alfen has been awarded the contract to deliver a 10MW / 10MWh energy storage system, which will provide frequency regulation services and voltage control support in its home country of the Netherlands.
