Vistra Energy has decided to pursue approval to construct a 600MW/2,400MWh BESS at the site of a retired power plant in the City of Morro Bay via the California Energy Commission (CEC).
IPP Tenska has submitted an application with the Washington Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council for the construction and operation of a 200MW/800MWh standalone BESS.
State government-owned energy company Synergy has received planning approval for its 500MW/2,000MWh Collie Battery Energy Storage System (CBESS) project in Western Australia.
