IPP Polat Energy is deploying multiple renewables-plus-BESS projects in Turkey, and has ordered a 132MWh BESS from the system integration arm of Rolls-Royce for one of them.

Rolls-Royce is deploying a 30MW/63MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in the Netherlands, the largest in the country when complete, as well as a 10MWh system in southern Germany.

Rolls-Royce Power Systems, the Germany-headquartered engines and propulsions company in the Rolls-Royce Holdings group, has taken a majority interest in microgrid and hybrid power solutions company Qinous.
