Denmark-headquartered independent power producer (IPP) Ørsted has purchased a 150MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in Michigan, US, from developer ESA Solar Energy.

Ørsted has broken ground on a BESS development co-located with onshore substation infrastructure for Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm in the UK.

A 300MW/600MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) developed by Ørsted will be co-located with its Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm onshore substation.
