Australia’s government has put its support behind two major transmission projects which will increase the utilisation of renewable energy.

Renewable energy company Arevon has secured a US$400 million loan facility from two banks for its solar and energy storage pipeline in the Midwest, Southeast and California.

Greece-based battery manufacturer Sunlight Group has received €275 million (US$290 million) in loan financing to expand production and research.

Australian renewable energy developer Edify Energy has secured project financing for three battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in New South Wales totalling 150MW/300MWh.

Zinc battery storage company Eos Energy Enterprises has secured a US$200 million investment commitment.

The US Department of Energy Loan Programs Office has committed US$504 million to a 300GWh hydrogen storage project in Utah and another US$107 million to a graphite facility in Louisiana.
