Regional electric utility companies in Japan are playing key roles in the delivery of battery energy storage system (BESS) resources.

KEPCO, South Korea’s biggest electric utility, has welcomed the start of commercial operations at a portfolio of large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) assets.

South Korean industrial group Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has self-executed a solar-plus-storage project at its head offices in Changwon, using this and other projects on its own premises as a learning curve for external projects.
