A lithium-sulfur battery startup has purchased Northvolt’s battery storage system factory in Poland and intends to reopen it immediately.

Graphene technology company Nanotech Energy will supply 1GWh or more of battery energy storage systems (BESS) to Greece through distributor Smile Energy through 2028.

Nine companies conducting research and development projects in energy storage have partnered with, and are set to receive financial support from, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
