The Council of Menorca, one of Spain’s Balaeric islands, has detailed its energy transition plan for the next four years including 18MWh of distributed battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Real estate investor Montea will put €30 million (US$33 million) to installing 56MWh of distributed battery energy storage systems (BESS) at logistics sites in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Storage developer and operator Lightshift Energy will deploy numerous distributed BESS projects totalling 50MW for various utilities via the Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company (MMWEC).

Developers Agilitas Energy and On.Energy have raised a total US$125 million in debt financing towards solar, energy storage and hybrid solar-plus-storage projects in the US.
