Chinese renewable energy tech company Envision has begun building a factory for wind turbines and energy storage systems (ESS) in Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan has signed an Implementation Agreement (IA) with ACWA Power for battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide up to US$229.4 million to ACWA Power to develop a 200MW/500MWh solar-plus-storage project in Uzbekistan.
