Avadis Investment Foundation is buying a BESS project in Switzerland which could be the country’s largest when it is scheduled to come online in 2027.

Aquila Clean Energy has launched construction on a 50MW BESS in Finland, while MW Storage has launched two new projects in the country.

BESS developer-operator Aquila Clean Energy has started building a 50MW/100MWh project in Germany, its first major one in the country.

Executives from Europe-based developers/IPPs Aquila Clean Energy, Kyon Energy and BayWa r.e. look back at the major energy storage trends in 2023 and ahead to 2024.

The energy storage market in Poland is “not an undersupplied one”, has higher financing costs and there is a two-year window in which you need to get in to capitalise on the opportunities, said renewable energy developer and IPP Aquila Clean Energy.

Aquila Capital will acquire a pipeline of large-scale battery storage projects in development in Australia, from Spain’s Gransolar Group.
