Kehua supports grid connection of utility-scale energy storage project in Israel

Kehua Digital Energy has successfully supported the grid connection of a 17MW/67.7MWh utility-scale energy storage project in Israel, with BLEnergy serving as system integrator.

The AC-coupled system features an 11MW grid connection and is equipped with Kehua’s power conversion systems (PCS) with a total rated capacity of 7,500 kVA. Engineered to meet local grid requirements, the system provides critical frequency regulation, peak shaving and power dispatch services, which expand Israel’s utility-scale storage capacity.

The Kehua PCS solutions deployed in the project are engineered for stable, long-term operation in a utility-scale storage environment. The equipment fully complies with Israeli grid standards, enabling deep compatibility between the energy storage system and the local grid, while providing comprehensive and robust grid support capabilities. By delivering fast and precise power control, the PCS enables the storage system to respond effectively to dynamic grid conditions, helping maintain frequency stability and optimise power flow.

The successful delivery of the project highlights the strong, long-term collaboration between BLEnergy and Kehua. As the project integrator, the former managed the complex AC-coupled system integration, further enhancing its capability to integrate premier energy storage and power conversion technologies into high-performance storage solutions and consolidating its reputation in the European large-scale storage market.
