Significant steps have been taken in the adoption of energy storage technologies in Rhode Island and Alaska, the smallest and largest US states by land area, respectively.
Duke Energy and Agilitas Energy have completed utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) deployments in the US states of Florida and Rhode Island, respectively, totalling 14MW of power.
There are perhaps four or five US states which have become prolific in their deployment of battery energy storage systems, but it’s also interesting to hear about what’s happening in regions where that development is still at an earlier stage.
