The cost of battery energy storage in the US fell by 72% between 2015 and 2019 and utilities in the country are set to bring 10,000MW of new grid-connected capacity online in the next two years.
The energy storage arm of solar inverter manufacturer Sungrow will supply 1,000MW of battery energy storage system (BESS) equipment to be deployed across six large-scale projects in Texas for customer Broad Reach Power.
