The European renewable energy IPP arm of Korean conglomerate Hanwha Group, Q Energy, has started building one of the largest battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in France.

Alberta, Canada-headquartered energy storage system maker Eguana Tech appears to have found a route to market in Europe, signing an exclusive distribution deal with Hanwha Q CELLS.

PV manufacturers Hanwha Q Cells and Sunpower have both signed deals to bring home energy storage to residential solar customers in Europe and in the US respectively.
