One of Sweden’s DNOs Ellevio Group is investing in four new battery storage projects totalling 70MW, supplied by Alfen, the latest in a series of large-scale projects.
Global system integrator Fluence will deploy a 250MW ‘Grid Booster’ battery energy storage system for transmission system operator (TSO) TransnetBW, one of two such projects planned in Germany.
The German battery storage market continues to be dominated by the residential segment which accounted for 93% of the 1,350MWh of capacity installed last year, according to research by a group of Aachen-based institutions.
