Australia’s grid-scale battery storage fleet set a cluster of dispatch-interval records on 11 August in the NEM.

Queensland has become the first state in Australia’s National Electricity Market (NEM) to discharge over 100GWh from utility-scale battery storage systems in a single month.

Queensland achieved a new battery discharge record on 30 March 2025, with a maximum instantaneous battery discharge of 474.1MW at 17:55.
