European Commission funding is supporting a project to integrate battery storage at a pumped hydro energy storage (PHES) plant in Slovakia.

Following in the footsteps of several other US jurisdictions this year, officials at California’s Orange County are one step closer to amending zoning laws to allow the development of BESS. 

An EU-backed energy storage capex support scheme in Lithuania will support as much as 4,000MWh of battery storage, the Ministry of Energy has said.
