Technical papers and feature articles from Solar Media’s quarterly PV Tech Power journal are now available as free downloads from this site, along with a host of other industry resources.
Published a couple of weeks ago online as a full PDF and with a limited print run taken to shows, the technical journal for the downstream solar PV industry also features ‘Storage & Smart Power’, a dedicated section commissioned and produced by our team here at Energy-Storage-News.
The most recent edition, Volume 14, leads off with Q&A interviews with energy storage trade association chiefs from around the world looking at 2017’s developments in energy storage and what they think this year could bring.
The US’ Energy Storage Association’s Kelly Speakes-Backman, Georgina Penfold from the UK Electricity Storage Network, Australian Smart Energy Council head John Grimes, Indian Energy Storage Alliance executive director Rahul Walawalkar and Patrick Clerens from the European Association for the Storage of Energy (EASE) were all kind enough to contribute.

There is also an examination of business models and the current landscape of the US commercial and industrial (C&I) sector with Julian Jansen of I.H.S Markit, which yielded a lot of interesting insights, along with a technical piece on the role of multiport power conversion systems in microgrids from Ideal Power’s John Merritt.
As always, the ‘back catalogue’ of articles from previous editions is available, along with technical papers and white papers from a range of contributors, including NEC ES’ Levelised Cost of Storage analysis white paper.
