
Jinko ESS was named winner of the “Energy Storage System Reliability – MTBF” All Quality Matters (AQM) award for 2026 at TÜV Rheinland’s 12th All Quality Matters Solar and ESS Summit, hosted by TÜV Rheinland.
This year’s summit in Suzhou, China brought together nearly 200 leaders and experts from across the solar and storage value chain. More than 20 awards were presented across the three categories of PV Products, Solar-Storage-Charging Products and Power Plant and Supply Chain Services, with all entries evaluated uniformly against the five dimensions of safety, performance, reliability, environmental adaptability and comprehensive quality..
MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) is a core metric for electronic product reliability. This assessment applied the internationally recognized Telcordia SR-332 reliability prediction standard to model component failure rates across the BMS and other key subsystems, deriving the theoretical mean time between failures of the complete system.
Supported by rigorous component selection and optimized system integration, Jinko ESS’s 5MWh energy storage system achieved an MTBF approaching 30,000 hours, reliably underpinning the requirements of engineering-scale deployment. This translates into fewer hardware failures and less unplanned downtime, materially reducing O&M costs and safeguarding the long-term return on investment of storage assets.
