Anker Innovations has announced that it has received four key certifications from the CSA Group for its SOLIX X1 ESS. The UL 9540, UL 9540A, UL 1741 and UL 1973 certifications represent a significant milestone for the company, demonstrating the product’s compliance with the rigorous North American safety standards for storage systems.

  • UL 9540 is a globally recognised standard for ESS,  focusing on safe installation, operation and integration with buildings and power systems. It requires a comprehensive safety review including fire protection, electrical safety and environmental consideration.

  • UL 9540A deals with the specific safety of battery modules, packs and the overall system, examining performance under normal and emergency conditions. This includes thermal management, electrical and chemical safety.
  • UL 1973 involves a range of battery tests, including simulation of extreme temperatures, overcharging and over-discharging, to ensure safe operation in a variety of  environments.

  • UL 1741 examines the safety and performance of the inverters, converters and controllers that manage power flow within the system. This standard is relevant for integration with solar PV systems.

As a company, Anker enforces strict quality standards throughout the production process of its products, from battery cell selection to system development and manufacturing.
