Industry executives from owner-operators BW ESS, Eku Energy, Gore Street, Field and NEOM answered questions from the audience on day one of last month’s Energy Storage Summit EU 2025.

In the video below, you can watch the 40-minute panel discussion, the first of many across the event, which took place on 18 and 19 February, following an invite-only half-day focusing on Australia the previous day.

The audience was able to set the agenda, with Energy-Storage.news editor Andy Colthorpe relaying their questions to the panel, whose companies are collectively deploying building gigawatts of battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Japan.

We covered the panel discussion on the day itself with a write-up you can read here. The main topics that came up included how the companies ensure the long-term performance of their business models, the future of optimising assets, whether this would be done in-house, and which companies will own most energy storage in the future.
