Return and Engie have agreed a long-term BESS toll in Spain while EnBW and Zelestra have finalised one in Italy, totalling 55MW and 300MW of capacity respectively.
EnBW and VPI have launched construction on large-scale BESS projects in Germany, while Elements Green and Eku Energy have agreed supply and acquisition deals respectively for separate 400MW/1,600MWh projects.
Power firm EnBW is building a 100MWh BESS in Germany for completion this year (a year later than planned) while BESS platform Noveria Energy has signed a construction agreement with TSO TenneT for a 1GWh project for 2028 operations.
