D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) has started construction at a 150MW solar-plus-storage project in the US state of New Mexico, the BESS for which will be manufactured in the US by LG Energy Solution.
DESRI, Origis Energy and rPlus Energies have progressed the financing or construction of major large-scale solar and storage projects across the US, totalling 2.8GWh of BESS capacity – all outside of Texas and California.
Australian investment bank Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) has agreed to acquire a significant minority stake in US independent power producer D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) in a deal worth up to US$1.73 billion.
