Independent power producer Clearway Energy Group has brought a 36MW solar PV plus 144MWh battery energy storage system project online in O’ahu, Hawaii, delivered by energy technology firm Wärtsilä.
Construction of two large-scale solar-plus-storage projects has begun on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu, totalling 76MW of solar PV and 300MWh of battery storage, by Clearway Energy Group.
San Francisco-headquartered firm Clearway Energy Group has signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with utility Hawaiian Electric Company for two solar-plus-storage projects on Oahu, Hawaii, with a combined PV capacity of 75MW.
