Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has announced three huge tenders across the country with various combinations of solar, energy storage, wind and hybrid concepts, to be connected to the Interstate Transmission System (ISTS)

The sanctioning of a tendering scheme for 2.5GW of hybrid wind and solar capacity in India has included a provision for developers to install any energy storage facility to help power output from such projects.

State-run coal mining and power firm NLC India has auctioned a 20MW solar PV project to be combined with 28MWh of energy storage capacity in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
