The European Commission has given the go-ahead to a €150 million (US$160 million) state aid scheme for renewable energy and energy storage in Slovenia.

Thermal energy storage solution firms Brenmiller and Kraftblock have agreed to deploy large-scale commercial projects for large European utilities, totalling 9GWh and 150MWh respectively.
