Egypt’s government has signed contracts with developer AMEA Power for two large-scale battery energy storage projects, the country’s first.

Essential Energy, a state-owned electricity infrastructure company, has switched on three community batteries in the New South Wales towns of Maloneys Beach, Leeton and Goulburn in Australia.

Germany is currently the “hottest market in Europe today from a development perspective,” according to battery storage developer-investor BW ESS.
