CATL has partnered with renewable energy developer ACEnergy to supply 3GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Australia.

Renewable energy developer ACEnergy has seen its 250MW Joel Joel battery energy storage system (BESS) in Victoria, Australia, granted its 5.3.4A notification.

ACEnergy has submitted a 400MW/1,760MWh BESS to the Australian government’s Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act.

Today (29 August), the Victoria government announced it has streamlined the planning process to deliver the state’s “largest” battery energy storage system (BESS), ACEnergy’s 350MW/700MWh Joel Joel project.

Leeton Shire Council, in NSW, Australia, has rejected a voluntary planning agreement offer submitted by ACEnergy, for a 250MW/1,100MWh BESS.
