The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) has approved a power purchase agreement (PPA) between investor-owned utility Consumers Energy and NextEra Energy Resources for the 200MW/800MWh Century Oaks Energy Storage project.

Sungrow will provide Spearmint Energy with more than a gigawatt-hour of battery energy storage system (BESS) technology after signing an agreement with the US developer.

The solar PV part of the Stampede project started producing power in June 2024, while the 86MW BESS is currently undergoing final commissioning.
