Trinasolar has joined the Future Energy Storage and System Integration Alliance (FESSIA) as an inaugural member. The alliance was officially launched on 19 May 2026 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore as a partner event to Ecosperity Week 2026, Temasek’s flagship sustainability platform.
FESSIA is a Singapore-headquartered industry alliance dedicated to shaping the policy and market frameworks needed to accelerate energy storage and system integration across the ASEAN region, the launch bringing together the region’s senior stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, utilities, investors and industry leaders.
Trina Executive President Helena Li delivered opening remarks at the launch, alongside inaugural member representatives and FESSIA Founder and CEO Liming Qiao.
“Asia is at the centre of the global energy storage story, and the urgency is real. Surging power demand, rapid digitalisation and data centre growth mean BESS deployment can no longer wait, but technology alone is not enough. We need the right policy frameworks, clear remuneration pathways and a shared regional agenda. As a company that both manufactures and deploys BESS at scale across the ASEAN region, Trinasolar is delighted to be an inaugural member of FESSIA and is committed to working with policymakers and industry partners to scale storage across the region.”
As of the end of 2025, Trinasolar had deployed more than 28 gigawatt-hours of battery energy storage worldwide, with active projects spanning Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas. The company’s storage business, Trina Storage, secured its tenth consecutive BloombergNEF Tier 1 ranking in Q1 2026, reinforcing its position as one of the most bankable BESS providers globally.
FESSIA CEO and Founder Liming Qiao commented: “FESSIA is delighted to welcome Trinasolar as one of our inaugural members. Its global experience in solar and storage, alongside its growing focus in the Philippines, comes at an important time as Southeast Asia’s power systems evolve to integrate more renewables. Together, we look forward to strengthening the policy environment needed to accelerate BESS deployment, system integration and grid flexibility across the region.”
