JinkoSolar and Jinko ESS have jointly unveiled a full-scenario PV plus energy storage solution tailored for Artificial Intelligence Data Centers (AIDC). Built upon two core product matrices – the SunTera energy storage system and AIDC-dedicated PV modules – the green energy solution integrates“ESS + PV”to address key operational challenges in AIDC, including response speed, reliability, safety, cost efficiency and space utilization, providing a highly suitable, safe and efficient green energy foundation for global AI infrastructure across all scenarios.
Targeting the unique power demands of AIDC, such as high-frequency pulse loads, millisecond-level fluctuations, high availability and safety, Jinko ESS leverages its SunTera technology platform to build a full-stack solution covering both AC-side energy storage and DC-side coordination. With the five core strengths of millisecond response, high reliability, five-layer safety, 10,000-cycle lifespan and high-density integration, the system is tailored for AI computing power consumption characteristics.
In addition, the SunTera platform enables differentiated technical adaptations for AIDC construction paths in different regions. In the North American market, it supports stable operation under low SCR (short-circuit ratio ≤1.1), features high/low voltage ride-through capability, can form a self-built microgrid with gas turbines and provides black start support to address the 5-7 year utility grid expansion cycles. In the Chinese market, diversified revenue models such as peak shaving, demand management and ancillary services help operators reduce electricity costs while meeting policy requirements for over 80% green power consumption. The 25MW/200MWh project at China Telecom’s Anhui Intelligent Computing Center has validated the long-term economic viability of energy storage in data centre scenarios.
Addressing the special needs of AIDC–high loads for 24/7 operation, extreme weather resistance and high safety, JinkoSolar’s data-centre-dedicated PV modules, built on the Tiger Neo 3.0, deliver six core strengths in high efficiency, high bifaciality, excellent low-irradiance response, high fire resistance, hail resistance and high mechanical load.
The Jinko AIDC full-scenario PV+ESS solution achieves the integration of solar and storage, addressing key AIDC needs including power supply challenges driven by computing demand, safe and reliable operation and cost efficiency. With a scenario-oriented design approach, it provides a highly adaptable green energy solution for AIDC applications.
