Jinko ESS has deployed an 860kWh energy storage system for the San Carlo Homes for the Aged Facility in the state of Victoria, in partnership with Melbourne-based renewable energy specialists Acacia Energy, with implementation being performed by the Highline Group. The solution comprises four Sungiga 215kWh units from the company’s distributed storage portfolio, combining critical power resilience for residents with participation in Australia’s Frequency Control Ancillary Services (FCAS) markets through Acacia’s Optimised Energy Market Services (OEMS). The system has been delivered from warehouse stock, with commissioning scheduled for late July following electrical infrastructure upgrades.

Engineered for Victoria’s bushfire-prone climate, the Sungiga units feature liquid-cooled thermal management, maintaining cell temperatures within ±2.5°C for higher RTE efficiency of up to 94%.

“Healthcare facilities are under growing pressure to meet both economic and sustainability goals,” commented Dan Su, Jinko ESS head for the ANZ region. “Our containerized energy storage systems, combined with VPP integration, turn energy assets into active revenue streams, helping aged care providers to reduce costs while accelerating their transition to a low-carbon future.”
