Equinor-owned East Point Energy has submitted a Public Facility Review application with the Prince William Planning Commission in Virginia, US, for the construction of a standalone battery energy storage system (BESS).

San Diego Community Power (SDCP) has negotiated three agreements totalling 304MW of energy storage capacity to fulfil part of its long-term energy portfolio.

The Kern County, California hybrid facility will have the capability to generate up to 2GW of solar power co-located with up to 2GW of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity, spanning approximately 12,875 acres of privately owned land.
