JinkoSolar has announced it is to deliver a 15.48MWh storage system to GWI’ s Tiger Neo + ESS utility project in Japan, made up of 72 units of its 215kWh liquid cooled SunGiga containerized ESS.
SunGiga is designed for the 250kW mainstream market and is available for 2-hour and 4-hour applications. With safety a top priority for battery system technology, SunGiga features comprehensive safety design at cell, rack, pack and system levels. AI-assisted cell monitoring technology performs high-precision online computing of cell status and provides early-stage warnings to prevent thermal runaway and five layers of protection mitigate electrical hazards.
