Jinko ESS has announced the signing of a contract with India’s Ocean Textile International for the deployment of its cutting-edge SunTera G2 5MWh energy storage systems. With a total capacity of 10MWh, the project achieves the milestones of being the first contract for the SunTera G2 system in India and the first-ever application of the solution for commercial and industrial (C&I) purposes.

Located in Thenmugam Vellode in Tamil Nadu, the project will integrate SunTera with the client’s existing PV system, with the goal of addressing PV energy curtailment, optimizing renewable energy utilization and enabling Ocean Textile to achieve greater energy efficiency in its operations.

“This contract marks a major step forward in bringing Jinko ESS’s innovative energy storage solutions to new markets and industries,” commented Bright Wang, APAC General Manager  at Jinko ESS. “The SunTera G2 is designed to deliver exceptional performance and reliability, making it the ideal choice for C&I applications and utility power plants. We are delighted to partner with Ocean Textile to advance renewable energy adoption in the textile sector.”
