Jinko ESS has announced an agreement for a 140MWh grid-scale energy storage project with  leading UK-based energy developer AGR Renewables. The project will feature 28 units of the company’s G2 5MWh liquid-cooled containerized systems, with first deliveries scheduled for November and commissioning set for Q1 2026.

Engineered specifically to endure the UK’s challenging environmental conditions, including -10 ˚C temperatures in high-latitude areas and persistently damp weather, the G2 system combines rugged engineering with intelligent performance.

“This project collaboration marks a high level of recognition of Jinko ESS’s technology in the UK market,” commented company GM for Europe Roberto Murgioni. “The G2 system is uniquely suited to UK conditions and will play a significant role in supporting the nation’s clean energy transition.”

AGR founder Oliver Breidt added: “We are delighted to partner with one of the industry’s leading utility scale battery storage system suppliers to support the delivery of our growing portfolio in the UK. Securing this contract marks a significant milestone in de-risking project delivery and reinforces AGR’s long term vision and commitment to advancing energy storage infrastructure within the UK.” .
