In recent years, grid-forming energy storage projects have evolved from primarily demonstration and regional initiatives to large-scale deployments, becoming a key supporting technology for the development of new power systems. In early March, Kehua Digital Energy showcased its grid-forming solutions and shared several technological breakthroughs at two European exhibitions, ENEX Kielce in Poland and KEY ENERGY Rimini in Italy.

These innovations illustrate the comprehensive nature of the company’s capabilities in grid-forming energy storage technology, which include grid-forming across the full range of energy storage products, megawatt-scale energy storage systems with minute-level black start capability and multi-dimensional and multi-scenario adaptability.

In terms of grid-forming energy storage, Kehua has made significant technological breakthroughs,  successfully deploying over 400 micro-grid systems globally, with total shipments exceeding 3 GW. Its projects cover critical regions and diverse scenarios, including off-grid, strong grid, weak grid, and hybrid grid-forming + grid-following applications.

The company has established a leading position in the European energy storage market,  while continuing to promote the deployment of grid-forming energy storage technology worldwide. With outstanding performance in numerous large-scale flagship projects both domestically and internationally, it has established itself as an industry leader in grid-forming technology, with successes in Europe including  multiple grid-forming energy storage projects underway in the north and east of the continent. In Bulgaria alone, cumulative energy storage shipments have exceeded1 GW.
