Sineng Electric has delivered its high-performance PV solutions for a 65MW solar power plant in Saudi Arabia, now in commercial operation. The project, in collaboration with solution provider LBPKSA, supplies clean energy to the Shuaibah 3 Independent Water Project (IWP), a major seawater desalination facility located in Shuaibah.
The project, constructed by the Shuaibah 3 Company with Doosan Enerbility as main EPC, is a flagship initiative in the region. Operating in an arid desert environment requires highly efficient and reliable energy solutions and Sineng’s 6.6MW MV turnkey solution, renowned for its superior performance and robust design, proved to be the perfect fit for the project’s unique requirements. The solution integrates a medium-voltage transformer and RMU, offering up to 99% maximum efficiency and a DC/AC ratio of up to 1.8. Its capability to accommodate larger block sizes streamlines installation and maintenance, while significantly reducing balance-of-system costs and lowering the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE).
“We are delighted to see Sineng’s solutions selected for a project of such strategic significance, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its net-zero ambitions,” commented Sineng GM for MEA Steven Chen. “The project marks a meaningful step towards a sustainable energy future and reaffirms Sineng’s commitment to unlocking the full potential of renewable energy.”
