Jinko ESS has completed the deployment of a 10MWh energy storage project in Handan City, Hebei Province. Located in Chaomeng agricultural market, the project utilizes two sets of SunTera G2 5MWh liquid-cooled storage systems, designed to significantly reduce operational electricity costs for both the market and its integrated PV-storage-charging station, through peak-valley arbitrage and coordinated operation of PV, storage and charging. The system also effectively enhances the local consumption rate of renewable energy, improves power supply reliability and provides stable electricity support for merchants and facilities within the market.
Tailored to the market’s characteristics of high pedestrian flow, open environments and concentrated power loads, the SunTera system prioritizes inherent safety, featuring an intelligent BMS and multi-level thermal runaway early warning to ensure reliable operation in crowded public spaces. With a high RTE of 94% and a lifecycle exceeding 8,000 cycles, it effectively leverages time-of-use electricity pricing to reduce long-term operational expenses. The system also features IP55 protection and C5 corrosion resistance, enabling it to reliably withstand outdoor environmental challenges for long-term stable operation.
Jinko ESS China GM Damon Duan commented: “This project marks a significant application of our utility-scale energy storage product in a complex commercial setting. The SunTera G2 system, with its high safety, cost-effectiveness and reliability, provides robust energy support for large public facilities like agricultural markets. We will continue to promote the adoption of integrated ‘PV+Storage+Charging’ solutions across a wider range of scenarios, contributing to the greening and resilience of urban infrastructure.”
