Jinko ESS has announced the delivery of 21 units of its SunGiga liquid-cooled energy storage system to a textile manufacturer in Wenzhou, with a total installed capacity of approximately 5.5MWh. Designed to enable peak-valley electricity arbitrage and load smoothing, the project provides a stable and secure power supply, helping the business enhance its energy efficiency while managing operational risks in continuous, energy-intensive production.
To meet the stringent safety and continuity demands of textile manufacturing, the system is built on a multi-layered safety architecture that ensures reliable power delivery. Its intelligent Battery Management System (BMS) provides cell-level monitoring and thermal runaway warning to mitigate risks at source, its fully enclosed cabinet effectively resisting production dust, while integrated temperature-smoke sensors and passive fire suppression offer critical protection for dense operational environments.
Jinko ESS GM for China Damon Duan commented: “Safety is always the top priority for energy storage in complex environments like textile manufacturing. This project’s choice of the SunGiga liquid-cooled system underscores its robust safety design, from cell management and thermal prevention to full-system protection. We will continue to centre our solutions on safety, delivering ever more reliable and efficient energy storage to help high-energy-consumption industries achieve both sustainability and cost-effectiveness.”
