HyperStrong has announced significant breakthroughs in the EMEA region, with newly secured projects across Greece, Estonia, Lithuania, Côte d’Ivoire and Zimbabwe.
In Greece, the company has signed a contract for a grid-side standalone energy storage project, marking its entry into the Southern European market. The project will participate directly in the Greek electricity market, generating multi-stream revenue through arbitrage, frequency regulation and capacity mechanisms, while improving grid flexibility and power supply reliability.
HyperStrong has also launched several grid-side energy storage projects in the Baltic countries of Estonia and Lithuania, for which it will supply battery energy storage systems.
Moving to Africa, the company has deployed energy storage systems across three industrial facilities in Côte d’Ivoire, each equipped with the HyperBlock III BESS solution. To address challenges such as frequent power outages and grid instability, HyperStrong developed a grid-forming microgrid system integrating solar, energy storage, diesel generators and the main grid, the system supporting a seamless transition between on-grid and off-grid operation for parts of the plants.
Finally, the company is also advancing a commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage project in Zimbabwe, with the first phase already deploying 15 units of its C&I BESS solutions.
Customized for the specific needs of industrial plants in Africa, the system enables smooth switching in a solar-storage hybrid, grid-forming setup. It enhances coordinated control and fast transition among PV, diesel generation, grid power and battery storage, helping lower energy costs while ensuring power continuity and quality for continuous production. Future phases will explore additional application scenarios to further maximize project value.
