Hanersun has announced the commissioning of a 1.15MWh commercial energy storage project in the Latvian capital Riga. The project, featuring five units of the company’s HNESS 230-L liquid-cooled cabinets, highlights its increasing role in advancing Europe’s renewable energy transition.

Latvia experiences long winters, which bring both harsh temperatures and huge energy demand. The system was integrated into an existing manufacturing facility’s power network facing high demand and volatile electricity costs. By tracking real-time load and discharging under third-party EMS instructions, the HNESS 230-L maximizes balance and reduces energy costs, while ensuring reliable operation in extreme cold conditions.

The deployment is part of Hanersun’s broader European success, with the HNESS 230-L now operational in over 20 countries worldwide, including in recent projects in Germany and Bulgaria.

As Hanersun’s flagship C&I storage solution, the product combines intelligent scheduling, flexible expansion and proven resilience into a compact, all-in-one cabinet. With more than 8,000 cycles and multi-layered safety protections, it ensures reliable performance across diverse application scenarios—from cost optimization to renewable integration.

The company is currently preparing to launch its next-generation system, the HNESS 261-L. With higher capacity and multifunctional capabilities, the product is now open for pre-orders worldwide, reaffirming Hanersun’s commitment to safe, efficient and innovative energy solutions.
