EVE Energy has announced that the world’s first 400MWh energy storage station utilizing its 628Ah ultra-large battery cells at scale has officially been connected to the grid. The Ruite New Energy Lingshou station is equipped with 80 sets of Mr. Giant 5MWh DC energy storage systems (integrating 628Ah cells with minimalist design) and 40 sets of power conversion and step-up integrated cabins. The milestone marks a crucial leap for the large battery technology roadmap championed by EVE, transitioning from forward-looking exploration to grid-scale validation and solidifying a core foundation for the high-quality development of the energy storage industry.
Senior leaders from Beijing Guowang Power Technology, including its chairman Zhou Ziguan, and EVE senior VP Steven Chen witnessed this pivotal moment, with Guowang Technology board secretary and CFO Zheng Malin and Liu Hongguang, EVE GM for domestic energy storage sales subsequently signing a strategic cooperation agreement for a future 10GWh of large battery systems.
The core of high-quality development in the energy storage industry lies in supporting large-scale applications with reliable technology, the successful commissioning of this project proving that 628Ah large battery technology is fully capable of supporting stable and efficient operation of grid-scale projects. To date, the cumulative production of EVE Energy’s large battery cells has exceeded 1 million units, receiving dual validation for both scale manufacturing and product maturity.
The system deployed integrates EVE’s inherently safe cell technology and minimalist system integration philosophy. Through core innovations including stacking process and high-toughness separators, it significantly enhances intrinsic safety while optimizing the Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS), precisely meeting the essential requirements of the new power system for energy storage core equipment: high safety, high efficiency and long lifespan.
Competition in the energy storage industry has now evolved from scale comparison to a high-quality contest centred on core technology, system value and ecosystem capability, with EVE Energy continuing to lead the industry towards a more sustainable path in the dual role of technology innovator and ecosystem builder.
